General Terms:
HughesNet® service is available in the contiguous U.S. with an unobstructed view of the southern sky, is not available in Alaska & Hawaii, and its usage is subject to the Fair Access Policy. Actual speeds vary based on the amount of traffic on the Internet, content on a particular Website, or by the overall performance and configuration of your computer. Stated speeds and uninterrupted use of service are not guaranteed. Actual speeds will likely be lower than speed indicated during peak hours.

Professional installation is required. Monthly service fees apply. Taxes not included.

Service Commitment:
HughesNet Service Plans require a minimum service commitment (24 months). If you terminate service prior to the expiration of the commitment, you will owe and your credit or debit card will be charged the Termination Fees as described below.

Early Termination: Upfront Purchase
If you cancel your order before installation, you will not be charged.

If you cancel service within 30 days of activation:

Home, Pro, ProPlus, Elite, Elite Plus and Elite Premium subscribers may return the modem and radio (outdoor transmitter) to HUGHES for a refund. Once this equipment has been received by Hughes, you will be refunded a total of $200. Hughes will provide instructions on how to de-install and return the equipment. Returned equipment must be received in good condition within 60 days of your termination. You will not receive a refund for installation charges or other fees. You are not required to return, and Hughes is not obligated to de-install the antenna, mount, or any cables. If you elect to have the complete system or the antenna, mount and any cables professionally de-installed, you will be responsible for all de-installation charges.

Small Office and Business Internet subscribers may return the modem and radio (outdoor transmitter) to Hughes for a refund. Once this equipment has been received by Hughes, you will be refunded a total of $300. Hughes will provide instructions on how to de-install and return the equipment. Returned equipment must be received in good condition within 60 days of your termination. You will not receive a refund for installation charges or other fees. You are not required to return, and Hughes is not obligated to de-install the antenna, mount, or any cables. If you elect to have the complete system or the antenna, mount and any cables professionally de-installed, you will be responsible for all de-installation charges.

If you cancel after 30 days from the date of activation but before end of initial 24-month commitment:

Home, Pro, ProPlus, Elite, Elite Plus and Elite Premium subscribers will be charged a $300 Service Termination Fee. HughesNet equipment may not be returned for a refund after 30 days.

Small Office and Business Internet subscribers will be charged a $300 Service Termination Fee. HughesNet equipment may not be returned for a refund after 30 days.

Lease Payment Plan option:
Lease Payment Plan customers required to return the modem, power supply, and radio when they cancel service, both within and out of term. The customer is given 45 days to return the equipment to Hughes, should they not return the equipment within the allotted timeframe, a $300 Unreturned Equipment Fee (UEF) will be charged. The UEF is based on $100 for the modem and power supply and $200 for the radio transmitter. In the case of a partial return, only modem & power supply or radio, the UEF will reflect only the unreturned portion. Customers will be given a $100 option at time of cancellation to request an installer to de-install the modem and radio transmitter. De-install work orders will be processed the same as repair requests are today. The installer will remove the radio transmitter and modem and provide it to the customer, at which time the customer is responsible for returning the equipment to Hughes.

Service plan offerings remain the same and require a 24 month term commitment. Customers can choose any of the six HughesNet service plans. Their service plan selection will be combined with the Equipment Rental Fee on their monthly statement. For those customers not fulfilling their service commitment, a $400 Early Termination Fee, will be applied

Online Ordering:
YOU AGREE AND ACCEPT THAT HUGHES NETWORK SYSTEMS, LLC (HUGHES) IS AUTHORIZED TO USE YOUR CREDIT OR DEBIT CARD FOR THE PURPOSE OF: (1) CHARGING YOU FOR THE UP-FRONT FEES REQUIRED TO RECEIVE HUGHESNET, INCLUDING PAYMENT FOR EQUIPMENT AND INSTALLATION; (2) CREATING A HUGHES/HUGHESNET CUSTOMER ACCOUNT; (3) CHARGING YOU FOR YOUR MONTHLY SERVICE FEES AND ANY EQUIPMENT OR INSTALLATION FEES THAT MAY APPLY; AND (4) CHARGING ANY APPLICABLE EARLY TERMINATION FEES.

Home Networking:
Home networking equipment is not included with your HughesNet system. For network setup, support, and configuration, contact your network hardware manufacturer and/or operating system software developer. (Hughes is not responsible for home network configuration or management).

Please note that all computers on a home network will be sharing a single connection. Simultaneous use of high-bandwidth applications by multiple users may result in degradation of download and surfing speeds, and are subject to the Fair Access Policy.
